Epiphone F-5 Studio F-Style Mandolin & Gigbag, Sunburst

Epiphone F-5 Studio F-Style Mandolin & Gigbag, Sunburst

Gibson & Epiphone have had a long history with the mandolin. Orville Gibson invented the modern mandolin, and Gibson Master Luthier Lloyd Loar designed the original F-5 mandolin in the early 1920s. Now, Epiphone presents the Inspired by Gibson F-5 Studio mandolin, based on that legendary design. It features all-solid wood construction with maple back and sides and Sitka spruce top. The maple neck is attached to the body with a glued dovetail joint and is capped with a laurel fretboard. The Gibson-style scroll headstock is equipped with vintage-style tuners and pearloid buttons. This mandolin has a balanced, resonant sound with carrying power, in part due to the thin satin finish. A premium gigbag is also included.
